  DEPARTMENT OF ORTHOPAEDICS The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery provides state of the art treatment in all fields of Orthopaedic Surgery including  Trauma and Accident Surgery, Spine Surgery, Joint Replacements, Paediatric Orthopaedics, Shoulder Surgery, Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy.  The department is headed by  Prof S Rajasekaran  with a spirited and committed team of senior and associate consultants providing expert surgical care. The facilities provided in the department have expanded steadily and today it performs more than 20000 major surgeries per year and has an out-patient strength in excess of 50000 new patients and total outpatient attendance of 1,50,000 every year.
